KUALA LUMPUR –- The 5th Auto Parts International Exhibition was inaugurated by the Iranian minister of industries and mines in Tehran on Thursday.

313 foreign companies and 369 domestic firms have showcased their high-tech products in this four-day fair, IRIB reported.
The number of foreign companies attending the fair has increased 59 percent, and the Iranian firms have increased 16 percent compared to the fourth show.
28 manufacturers of automotive parts from Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland have taken part for the first time, either directly or through their representatives.
Also on Thursday, the 16th Home Textile, Machineries, Raw Materials, Embroidery Machineries and Textile Products (Irantextile 2010) was inaugurated by the minister.
138 foreign firms have taken part in the show ending Sunday from Taiwan, India, South Korea, Turkey, Japan, Italy, Germany, China, Thailand, Switzerland, Austria, Indonesia, and Syria, alongside hundreds of Iranian companies.
The number of foreign firms partaking in the event has risen 55 percent compared to the 15th show and 33 percent more space has been used in this exhibition
